1980s honorary cross brooch, in silver-plated brass with rhinestones.
This brooch is inspired by the new wave music movement, linked for example to the sounds of Madonna, and of punk derivation, matured with the experience of groups such as the Sex Pistols. The artists of this cultural and musical movement used to wear honorary cross brooches on jackets, often on black leather to make them stand out. The jewels did not have particular symbols, but represented a sign of detachment from the meaning of the honors that Nazi generals wore in the Second World War.
The 80s cross brooch is made entirely of rhinestones, 8.5 cm long and 5.5 cm wide, it is a very elegant and trendy Made in Italy.
Still today as ,in the past, it can be worn on a black leather jacket, both male and female, at any time of the day.
